Control-volume methods on non-K-orthogonal grids: Limitations and shortcomings

I. Aavatsmark (Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research University of Bergen)

Control-volume methods with two-point and multipoint flux approximations are treated. Important properties such as convergence, monotonicity, and generality of these methods are discussed, especially for quadrilateral grids. These properties are important for grid generation and robustness in the solution of real applications.
